skrollr is an open-source JavaScript library for creating parallax scrolling effects and scroll-driven animations in web applications. It allows developers and designers to animate CSS properties according to the browser's scroll position. Instead of writing complex JavaScript animation sequences, users define keyframes directly through HTML data attributes. The library interpolates values between keyframes to produce smooth transitions involving colors, positions, rotations, and other visual properties. It supports vertical and horizontal scrolling, relative positioning, and configurable animation behavior. Its standalone architecture requires no jQuery or other JavaScript frameworks. Originally designed for desktop and mobile browsers, skrollr also offers optional plugins for navigation and stylesheet integration. The project is archived and no longer actively maintained.
