React Hot Boilerplate is a minimal historical example demonstrating live editing of React components during development. It was created to show how React Hot Loader could update component code without forcing a full browser refresh. Webpack provides bundling and development-server support, while Babel handles JavaScript transformation. Source changes are pushed into the running application so developers can immediately see updated behavior. The repository intentionally stays small so the hot-reloading configuration is easy to inspect and learn from. It helped popularize state-preserving React development workflows before modern Fast Refresh tooling became standard. The project is now deprecated, and its README directs developers to React Refresh Webpack Plugin instead.
