Pi MCP Adapter connects Model Context Protocol servers to Pi while minimizing the context consumed by large tool schemas. Instead of loading every MCP tool definition into the conversation, it exposes a compact proxy and discovers individual capabilities only when they are needed. Servers are started lazily, which avoids running integrations that a session never uses. The adapter automatically recognizes standard project and user MCP configuration files and can help import compatible configurations from tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex. An interactive setup flow shows discovered servers, configuration sources, conflicts, and proposed file changes before applying them. This approach preserves access to database, browser, API, and other MCP integrations while keeping Pi's working context substantially smaller.

Features

  • Compact on-demand MCP proxy
  • Lazy MCP server startup
  • Dynamic tool discovery without loading every schema
  • Project and global MCP configuration support
