PermissionX is an open-source Android library that simplifies requesting and managing runtime permissions. Developers can initialize it from a FragmentActivity or Fragment and request multiple permissions through a concise chained API. Permission results identify whether everything was granted while separately returning granted and denied permissions. The library can display rationale dialogs when users need an explanation before approving access. It also handles permissions that have been permanently denied by directing users to the application settings page. PermissionX can explain permissions before the initial request and provides rationale dialogs that automatically adapt to Android dark mode.

Features

  • Multiple runtime permission requests
  • Granted and denied permission callbacks
  • Permission rationale dialogs
  • Forwarding to application settings
  • Pre-request permission explanations
  • Automatic dark theme support
