NullMoth NVIDIA Driver is an open-source graphics driver project designed to enable modern NVIDIA GeForce GPUs on macOS 15 Sequoia. It targets Intel-based Macs and OpenCore-compatible computers equipped with Turing-generation or newer NVIDIA graphics cards. The software implements Metal graphics support through a driver plugin, shader translation, Vulkan components, and kernel extensions. It translates Apple's GPU shader instructions into formats compatible with NVIDIA hardware. The project targets Metal 3 capabilities and integration with graphics and computing frameworks such as OpenGL, OpenCL, Core Image, and Core ML. A companion application called 1401 assists with installation, OpenCore configuration, troubleshooting, and driver removal. Hardware compatibility varies, and installation requires specific system security and boot configuration changes.
