libui is a portable C library for building native graphical user interfaces across Windows, macOS, and Unix-like systems. It uses each platform’s native UI technologies instead of drawing its own widget toolkit. The library provides windows, buttons, text inputs, menus, tables, drawing areas, dialogs, forms, and other common controls through one C API. Platform-specific differences are abstracted so the same application code can target several desktop systems. Custom drawing APIs support paths, brushes, text, transforms, and user-defined interactive areas. The project remains mid-alpha, with incomplete features and platform-specific limitations still documented by its author. It is best suited to experimentation, small native utilities, and studying cross-platform GUI abstraction.
