Genghis

Genghis is an open-source, web-based administration application for exploring and managing MongoDB databases through a lightweight interface. Designed for simple deployment, it is available as a standalone Ruby application or a single PHP file. The software allows developers to browse MongoDB servers, inspect databases and collections, and examine stored documents. Its browser interface provides tools for querying, editing, and managing document-oriented data without relying entirely on command-line operations. Genghis supports multiple deployment configurations, including standalone servers, traditional PHP hosting, Rack applications, and Ruby on Rails projects. Its compact design minimizes setup requirements and simplifies integration into existing development environments. The project was archived in July 2023 and is no longer actively maintained.
