Dune 3D is a free, open-source parametric CAD application designed for creating precise three-dimensional models. It combines a constraint-based modeling workflow with the Open CASCADE geometry engine. Users can construct sketches and define geometric relationships using constraints. Unlike conventional sketching tools, it supports constraints in three-dimensional modeling operations. The software provides solid modeling capabilities, including extrusion, intersections, fillets, and chamfers. It also supports importing and exporting STEP files for exchanging models with other CAD applications. Its interactive viewport allows users to select and manipulate geometry while navigating designs. Built with GTK4, Dune 3D is particularly useful for designing mechanical parts and 3D-printed enclosures.
