Crypto Bar

Crypto Bar is a free, open-source cryptocurrency price tracker designed for convenient monitoring from the desktop menu bar. Built with Electron and React, it displays cryptocurrency market information without requiring users to open a dedicated trading platform. The application retrieves pricing data from CryptoCompare, which aggregates information from cryptocurrency exchanges. It uses WebSocket connections to receive real-time price updates. Users can follow cryptocurrency market movements while working in other applications. The lightweight interface emphasizes quick access to current pricing rather than advanced trading functionality. Crypto Bar includes source code and development instructions for building the application locally. The project is no longer actively maintained, but its existing releases remain available.
