CocoaHTTPServer is a small embeddable HTTP server for macOS and iOS applications. It is designed for developers who need local HTTP capabilities inside an app instead of a separate external web server. Possible use cases include remote monitoring, desktop-app communication backends, document sharing, and over-the-air access to app files. The project provides asynchronous networking built on GCD and standard sockets. It also supports Bonjour broadcasting, IPv4, IPv6, password protection, SSL/TLS encryption, scalability, and WebDAV. CocoaHTTPServer is especially useful for Objective-C or Cocoa-era applications that need a lightweight, heavily commented, and extensible embedded server component.
