Capso

Capso is a free, source-available macOS application for capturing screenshots, recording videos, and annotating visual content. Its floating toolbar provides area, window, fullscreen, scrolling, timed, and OCR capture options. Users can edit screenshots with arrows, shapes, text, highlights, blur, and pixelation tools. Screen recording supports MP4 and GIF output, webcam overlays, system audio, and microphone capture. A built-in recording editor offers trimming, zoom effects, cursor smoothing, and background customization. Optical character recognition extracts text from screenshots, while integrated translation displays results in floating cards. A persistent history library organizes captured images and recordings. Optional Cloudflare R2 integration allows users to share captures through their own cloud storage.
