Is an ebXML compliant registry also compliant with the ISO/IEC 11179
metadata standards?

Hi Praveena,

ebXML RegRep started with ISO 11179 as a primary input. The ebXML RegRep 
TC has aligned with ISO 11179 spec where possible but we have not 
defined our spec strictly as an ISO 11179 compliant registry. In the 
other directionb, recent version of ISO 11179 have aligned with some 
aspects of ebXML RegRep 3.0.

So there are many areas where there is alignment, some areas where there 
is mis-alignment and no formal compliance with 11179. HTH
