Notepad++ is crashing once in a shile while deleting the contents of open files!!(!!!!)
When this happens CPU is at 50% (dual core, thus I guess 100% on one core)
Then the files which were open are 500 bytes in size!!!!
I am using all standard plug-ins plus the explorer plugin. version is 5.4.5 UNICODE, OS - VISTA 32, EN
If this is not a known bug which is fixed in the next bug fix release, I will be permanently moving to some other editor, I am a developer and this is just unacceptable!!!
(I was lucky since I was working on a temp project trying something out)

Try renaming the plugins directory to say "lugins", and see if crashes still occur.
If they still do, please report the bug on the bug tracker, I can't remember seeing it mentioned. Crashes on save yes, but not on delete.
If they ddon't, then rename it back. Then, for each plugin in it, rename the .dll as .dl and try again. You'll find the culprit soon this way hopefully. Then please report your findings here.

I wanted to report this as well.
I'm also on Vista and on Notepad version 5.4.5! It happens at random times since I upgraded from Notepad version 4.3 or something like that.
Apart from that, Notepad is great and I have been using it for a long time without a single crash before this.
I hope this can be fixed somehow.
