A major nuisance bug for me involves incremental search.  Here's the scenerio.  I press the hot key to begin incremental search and I begin typeing.

All is great and I find my text.  I continue editing.

I use the hot key to begin incremental search again and begin typing, my search text is prepended to my last search text and I never find what I'm searching for.  Horrible.

It should work like this, I hit the hot key and my last search displays in the status bar -- only the text is highlighted.  If I begin typing, my new search overrwrites my previous search text.  That's it.

Everytime I hit that hot key to begin incremental search, np++ should begin searching, incrementally, for the text I'm typing -- every time.

This is working perfectly in 5.4.5.

I selected the Update Notepad++ menu pick from help (?) and it said No update is available.  I guess that's the bug.  This was in 5.3.1

While I'm here. Incremental Search should be coupled to the Find text, so that the Find Next hot key will find the next instance of the text I found using Incremental Search.

Ask for it on IdeaTorrent.  How about a "Start regular search" extra button on the incremental search box that would close it, set current search pattern to contents of IS box and open the Find dialog?
