    Hi,

I have notepad++ v5.4.4 but it crashes when I click on the icon "Save all" (double floppy).

When I do CTRL ALT DELETE, notepad takes 99% of the CPU...

All my files are ~3 ko and .PHP...

It is very boring because I have do re-edit again and again...

    Thanks

Does it crash all the time?
      What is your OS?

Thank you for your bug report J DB.
What action makes your Notepad++ v5.4.5 crash?
Could you remove all the plugins then try again (v5.4.5)?

        Don

          > What action makes your Notepad++ v5.4.5 crash?
I meant only Ctrl+S or even with menu item "Save" (or on tool bar : icon "Save") make it crash?

      Hello,

I do not use any plugin.

And I only click on the icon (double floppy), it is faster for me.

Could you confirm me you *REMOVE* all the plugin, even the ones come with release?

        Don

        > Oh.. I am sorry but do I have to remove all content from Plugins directory?
Yes, please do it, so we are sure that the crash comes from Notepad++ but not plugins.

      I did it.

I will tell you if I have the same problem.

Ps: I think we should be able to enable or disable Notepad++ in the context menu. By default, it is included when you install it but personnaly I dont like when something is added... If we upgrade it, the box should be checked or not according to our preferences.

Ps2: can we save (export / import) our colours configuration? I have many computers and I have to set all colours manually :(

Ps3: sorry for my bad english :q

A quick way to remove plugins is to rename the folder to say "lugins".

You can always unregister the context menu entry by opening cmd.exe and entering "c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe /u /s nppcm.dll". Folder may be different on different versions of Windows.

Perhaps the installer should choose the default value for the checkbox about shell extension depending on whether this is a clean install or not. I don't know if it can.

Regarding colours, please see http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/notepad-plus/index.php?title=Syntax_Highlighting_Sharing for information. Basically, the config files hold all the data, s there is no need to export them, just copy or merge them.
