Scratch that last question (there's another missing feature - deleting/editing one's own messages). I found it in the forum pull-down menu (which, being JavaScript, wasn't found with a text search for "search").

Please search this forum for "config" and "upgrade". The best thing is backing up your configuration, installins and then checkin the differences. In some rare cases, you'll have to merge the files - I'd recommend WinMerge to do that. The installer is not smart enough to perform this delicate art.

This brings up a separate question - how do you search Sourceforge forums? The only search functions I see search SourceForge for software. The forum software used by SF seems to be incredibly basic. No topic watching (only forum watching), no searching (as far as I can tell), etc.

Hi,
Every time that I want to upgrade Npp, I do an uninstall and then installing the new version.
The upgrading process written here:
http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/download.php
is not clear to me.
Can you please explain me how to upgrade Npp without worrying my configs?
Thanks :)
Best regards,
Dor.

Instead of
"Can you please explain me how to upgrade Npp without worrying my configs? "
should be:
