I tried searching for this in the forum, but couldn't find much. Here is what I am looking for:
1> Have a indent/format style based on the language. Being a programmer, it would be of immense use.
2> Have these styles editable by the user.
3> I am currently using TextFX plugin -> Auto-indent C++ code option. But I was thinking if this could be extended to other languages.
Take this sample code,
void sample(int i){//code here}
In Java , I would want the code to look like this after formatting:
void sample (int i) {
// code here
}
In C/C++, I would want it to look like :
void sample (int i)
{
// code here
}
and so on.
This feature would make NPP my complete IDE. Could someone help me on this?

I have nothing like "Auto-indent" under "NPPP > TextFX" or "NPPP > Plugins";
but I have "NPPP > Settings > MISC > Auto-indent".
Could you tell exactly what you are using, eventually where and how you got it, how you did, and what you got? TIA,

You may want to try the following plugins:
1/ NppAutoIndent. There is an option to apply current style across langyages;
2/ UniversalIndentGUI, which ships and wraps a variety of code beautifiers.
If you think something else is still missing, then perhaps post it on IdeaTorrent.

The contents of the folder in the archive need to be unpacked as-is into N++ directory.
You wind up with two dll's in \Plugins. Rename the right dll by removing the trailing _unicode/_ansi part.
If instal procedure isn't clear, contact author or post on Plugin Development forum. You may want to also download the _win32.zip file, because it has an install.htm as well as source code.

Thanks CChris,
Auto-Indent just about does the basics for me. Good plugin. Saves a lot of key presses.
But I couldn't get UniversalIndentGUI to work with NPP. I copied the .dll files just as I would with any other plugin. But it crashes my NPP.
Any pointers to help file/install guide?
Tx,
Sam
Works for me.

Thanks CChris,
