How do I get the cursor not to snap to the end of the last character on a line, but move vertically up and down.
When I'm coding I often want to start the next line away from the left edge. However if there is no text (or not much text) on the next line N++ forces the cursor to the last character to the left, forcing me to have to tab to the column where I want to begin. This is time-consuming.

Hi, WynCntry:
I can only offer you a workaround:
1. Create an auxiliar line wich must be at the top or at the bottom and must be the longest line the content doesn't matter
2. Go to the end of this line, pres Alt and holding this key select all the text
3. Select the menu option: TextFX --> TextFX Edit-->Pad rectangular selection with spaces (bottom entry)
Now, you should have an square matrix which allow you to move horizontally and vertically.
