I just installed RKWard on Ubuntu (jaunty) and when I launch it I get the following: "Plugins are needed: you may manage these through "Settings ->Configure RKWard".
But under the Settings I only have two options "Show Tookbar" and "Show Statusbar".
Also I get "Page does not exist or is borken".
Thanks.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
* RKWard compiled against the official Ubuntu R. To use these pre-compiled binaries use the following repositories (add them to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/rkward.list):

Yes, just create the file rkward.list inside that folder. If you prefer, you can also add the line to your /etc/apt/sources.list, instead.
> If I update R to the latest version will it work?
No, this issue is due to a problem with the KDE installation directories in Ubuntu jaunty, and has nothing to do with your version of R.
(If you do update your version of R, you may need a different .deb / apt-line, as detailed on http://p.sf.net/rkward/binaries .)

Ok, Here is the trick. Go to the built binaries page.

add Unofficial Ubuntu repositories
* RKWard compiled against the official Ubuntu R. To use these pre-compiled binaries use the following repositories (add them to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/rkward.list):
# use only one of these:
deb http://reaktanz.de/deb/rkward jaunty main
and everything should work:
Unfortunately /etc/apt/sources.list.d is an empty folder.

Thanks very much. I got it to work.
