    Hi all,
I have a jython code which run a java module. This java module execute jython scripts.
I'm trying to debug this scripts. When I locate breakpoints in the external jython code (the one which run the java module) - the jvm stops. But when I locate breakpoints in the internal scripts (the ones which are executed by the java module) - it doesn't stop.
    Please please advice.
    Many thanks,
    Marc

You should be able to do it with the remote debugger: http://fabioz.com/pydev/manual_adv_remote_debugger.html (from a regular debug launch, java does not know about python debug and vice-versa).

      Cheers,

      Fabio

      Hi Fabio,
I've tried to debug it using remote debbuger as described below:
      1. Run the script which run the java module.
      2. Go to debug perspective
      3. When the java module run the script (which I'd like to debug), I get the following message: "pydev debugger: Unable to find real location for..."
      4. I've tried to solve it by changing the path (i.e. ret = ret.replace(...)).
      5. Even if there are no errors - I can't debug - it seems that something happen - i.e. the thread block but I don't know where and can not find it from the debug view.
      What can I do?? Thanks,
      Marc

When the message "pydev debugger: Unable to find real location for..." appears, a dialog doesn't open so that you can select a location for that file?

Are you properly starting the pydev remote debugger in the eclipse side as in http://fabioz.com/pydev/manual_adv_remote_debugger.html ?

        Cheers,

        Fabio
