This is a minor annoyance, but I thought it was noteworthy.
Every time I open the interactive console it asks me which interpreter I would like to use. I only have one, so there seems to be little reason to ask, and there does not appear to be a way to set a default interpreter. If I remember correctly, when I last had Pydev installed it did not do this. I have set each project specifically to the interpreter I have.

Also, is there a way to automatically open an interactive console when Eclipse launches?
Fixed for 1.4.6 (svn: 2784)
As for automatically opening an interactive console, there's currently no such feature (you can add a feature request if you want).
Cheers,
