Both on my office and home machine, where I have just installed, I confirm thatSync vertical is there in the View menu, but not Sync horizontal.
Since I avoided the quirks I got on my office machine, by being more roundabout abou the files copied from the rchive, I think it is not my srewing it up this time :-)

Are you using a localization file (French, to judge from your last name)? That screws up the view menu. Switching to English through the GUI doesn't help either, because then english.xml is used. Deleting nativeLang.xml while N++ is closed should help.

Thanks Jan, that did restore the missing menu entries.
But then one must be careful not to change localisation again.

They are in the view menu closed to the bottom.
