jython debugging - no local vars?

I'm not seeing any local variables in the Variables tab when debugging Jython (2.2.1) under Eclipse.  I see only globals and method arguments.  Hovering over local variable names displays their value but they're missing from the Variables tab.

Are they supposed to be there, or is this a Jython limitation?

What Pydev version are you using? It's working for me on the latest release (1.4.5).

      Cheers,

      I'm on 1.4.5.2732

Sometimes the locals start showing up after a while, but they're always missing
      when starting a debug session.

And do other variables (globals) appear? Or nothing appears? I'm on 3.5m6 here, but I remember that sometimes on 3.4.1 I'd have to click the variables window for it to have the variables shown (Eclipse wouldn't refresh it until that was done).

        Cheers,

        Fabio

No, clicking in the variables window does not refresh the view.

I generally don't see local vars, and also dynamically created members sometimes do not display either.  This is with Eclipse 3.4.2 and pydev 1.4.6.2736

Hmmm... I was playing with this and found that the variables window does not pick up new objects during single-step mode.   I set a breakpoint and hit F8 (continue) and when it stopped at the breakpoint all the locals were displayed.

      Maybe a clue?

Could be... Can you create a bug with the exact steps (and maybe some example code) on how to reproduce it? (see http://pydev.sourceforge.net/faq.html#how_do_i_report_a_bug )

        Cheers,
