    Version 5.3.1 is available now.

    In this release, a serious bug of inaccurate replace bug is fixed.

    7z format distribution is included in both binary and source release due to its superior algorithm. Their contents are the same as zip packages. If you don't know what is 7z, just download zip packages.

    Here are v5.3.1 new features and fixed bugs (from v5.3) :

    1.  Fix inaccurate replace bug.
    2.  Increase "Find what" and "replace with" fields to 2047 characters in Find/Replace dialog.
    3.  Stop the indicator highlighting while the line change marker margin is hidden.
    4.  SConstruct and SConscript are recognized as python file.

      The UDL panel is very tall, and I always need to dock it and then scroll contents, which always work. One of various 800x600 glitches. And the way the scroll bar responds to muse wheel is not too subtle, jumping to bottom or top. You must either drag the thumb or repeatedly click the arrows for finer control.

        I don't think that's a bug...

        That's the thing added to the Windows Context Menu by default when you install Notepad++ for you to quickly open the file to edit with Notepad++ because most of the time it isn't set as default...

        I use that often...

      Thank you very much for the quick update.

      btw.: it would be good if NP++ remembered (when updating) what items you had checked within the installation process (options for the plugins to install, settings for "don't use appdata", etc.)
