        Hello.

First make sure that your video card drivers are up to date.

Previous versions can be downloaded from Stellarium's SourceForge download page:

        https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=48857

Click on your platform and a page listing the available versions will open.

Try updating your video card driver:

        http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Select your OS in the first column (Vista 64 bit?), then "Integrated/Motherboard" and "Radeon HD 3200" and open the driver download page by clicking on "Go!". Scroll down to "Option 2 - Individual Downloads" to download the display driver package only.

      Hi guys

I likewise have the LH menu display "out of phase" issues with stellarium 0.10.2 (exactly as depicted at http://stellarium.org/wiki/index.php/Known_issues_with_video_drivers)

My system specs are as follows:
      Vista 32-bit OS
      ATI Radeon HD3470 graphics w VRAM 256MB

I have installed the latest ATI driver updates which don't resolve the issue.

Any suggestions to help resolve would be gratefully received.

      Cheers
      Andrew

A added your card to the list, however, you didn't specify driver versions. Please edit the page and add this information.

        Thanks

          Hi Matthew

          Apologies for missing that detail.

I used the latest ATI Catalyst installer, the driver version is 8.476.0.0 with publish date of 28/03/08 according to the device properties.

          Hope this helps.

There are drivers with a date of 18 Mar 2009 - much more recent than the one you have installed. Please can you try this out? If it works, please do fill in that column of the wiki page (if it works it'll be the first confirmed fix with driver versions and so on:)

The driver you want is found here:

Enable javascript if necessary, click the "Vista 32-bit", then "Integrated/Motherboard", then your model of card appears in the list on the right. Select it and click GO.

            Thanks
            Matthew

      Hi Matthew

Thanks for working with me on this. Initially I ignorned the "integrated/Motherboard" option as my card option was not listed (only offers to HD 3300). Anyway I tried the HD 3300 option out after a system backup... but it didn't make any difference.

The first driver upgrade attempt was via the "Radeon" then "Radeon HD 3400 Series" path.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong here but in both cases the latest ATI Catalyst installer leaves me operating with driver version 8.476.0.0 with publish date of 28/03/08 according to the windows device properties. In addition, windows determines that the driver software being used is up to date.

Happy to try other suggestions if you have them.

      Cheers
      Andrew

      Hi Andrew

I seem to remember some time ago someone had a similar problem and it was caused by the ATI Catalyst program. I think they got round the problem by removing the catalyst program and letting the windows drivers take care of the screen display. I may be wrong however as it was some time ago.

      Hi!

Wow, thanks for the quick answer!

      I just didn't see the integrated/motherbourd sign...
Just tried it out, but I couldn't install the driver package. Don't know what went wrong...

But I'll try it again later on!

      Thanks again for you answer!!

      Hi,
As a work around you may want to resize those window's menu until you see it fine. In that session of Stellarium you don't have to do this again.

Hope this help in the meanwhile.

      Justo.

      Hi

That looks like a problem with the OpenGL screen driver. There were some problems with ATI cards some time ago but I thought it was fixed with a driver update. What is your operating system.

      Hi everyone!

I have the same problem described above, the program workers fine but the left hand windows are not shown propertly.

My graphic driver is RADEO HD 3200, but for that there's no update as far as I know.

Is there anything I can do to solve this problem??

Can anyone help me with this?

      Thanks in advance :)

        Hello.

        • Go to http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

        • Choose your OS from the first column, then "Integrated/Motherboard" from the second one, and then "Radeon HD 3200" from the third one.

        • On the page that opens after you click on the "Go!" button, you can download the driver package only ("Option 2" or something like that.)
