When you try to open or save a file with Notepad++ the default location given is the main User Folder on Windows XP. I would like to see this changed to the actual My Documents directory as that is the location for storing files. I also noticed Notepad++ creates a SciTE.session file in this directory. This file should be moved to the Application Data\Notepad++ directory. For now I workaround this issue by specifying manually a working directory for Notepad++ shortcuts.

Yes, you can manually specify this. However I have set it to the last open directory so it doesn't work that way. By default Notepad++ should point to the My Documents directory.

If I choose the third radio button and click the browse button and locate %MyDocument%, it works as anticipated.

Yes, the *default* should be fixed.
