    Hello,

I need to read messages with a certain structure for wich I need to be able to quickly fine the positionnumber of the information. Can I turn on an option that gives me a gridlike view? A bit like Excel but the first position should be Line 1, Column 1.

Is this possible to set up, and if so how? Thanks in advance.

When you click right before the first character of the information string, doesn't this info show up in the status bar?

If the clicks are a problem, you cn always make your own ruler and turn line numbers on in Preferences. The ruler could be in two lines of text:
      _________1_________2_________3__...
      12345678901234567890123456789012...

or any variant which you'd find z
