Just found the v5.2 F11 and F12 crash issue, I confirm both F11 and F12 make Notepad++ crash while Compare plugin is active (compare 2 documents side by side).
Remove Compare plugin from Notepad++ Plugins Directory will remedy this problem.

I took a look in shortcuts mapper : F11 Full Screen and F12 Post it.
F11 makes Full screen OK
F12 makes Full screen, but No post it NOK

As I stated in another post in this thread I removed all of the plugins but still get the crash when using F11 0r F12.
However the crash is slightly different from F11 to F12. With F11 the tab still remains at the top of the screen but with F12 the tab disappears as well.

When I press F12, notepad closes immediatly. No crash report.

Yes it happens all the time.
Before it closes, I can see that title bar, menu disappears and notepad++ goes fullscreen for a short moment (near 0.25 second).
NB : Unicode version and F12 is associated with "Postit".
And F11 key crashes too
Could you remove all the plugins, then try it again?

This happens to me as well.
Running XP Home SP3.
If you noticed what Don said, you would have seen that he said to disable all plugins and try again...
Works fine here on both XP and Vista without any plugins besides the ones included w/ default install...
Plugins cause a lot of the bugs in Notepad++, if you browse these forums...

Neither F12 nor F11 crashes for me on different computers. Windows XP SP2.
Seems your problem is caused by some Notepad++'es plugin.
I have exactly the same problem as MMTsuchi, same symptoms and always happens. XP SP2
I removed all the plugins but Notepad++ still crashes when using F12.
This happens in XP Home SP3 and Windows 7 Beta.

I've also tried a complete uninstall then reinstalled but still get the crash when using F12.
Very strange...
Try the standalone extractable .zip verision and tell me the results!

Yes the crash still happens with the standalone version.
Also it makes no difference whether I use unicode or ansi, still the same result.
I remove ** Hex Editor plugin ** and ..... No crash anymore !
But a strange behavior : N++ closes and reopens immediately in "pseudo" full screen.
And no "Post-it".

Which HexEditor plugin version do you use?
I just tested with HexEditor 0.9.2 - no crash.

Like I said before, the problem is inside the different plugins on different systems.
If you don't believe me, take out all the plugins and try again.
And Don may be right in some cases, and mmtsuchi, you may be right in some cases.
