    This thread is for Geesas planning/designing discussion.

    So far this is what we have and what we need.

    Existing techonology:
    UIRA/Flash4Linux has not reach a point where you could write ActionScript. (I don't have an idea if you could even possibly draw or animate on it)

    Pencil Animation is an early attempt to make a free SWF authoring software. It is a fork of an animation software called Pencil which is written in C++ and uses Qt. Both can produce SWF animations but not interactive SWFs.

    Problem:

    Qt is good but we need GTK-based front-end. QtSVG is designed for SVG Tiny.

    Requirement:

    1. write GTK frontend (could be easy).
    2. write custom GTK widgets specifically designed for animations
    3. a free and really really fast SVG renderer.
    4. interested Contributors.

      The Pencil Animation I'm talking about here is now called Clash which bears the same tag line as Geesas.
