There is a new article out there at Smashing magazine titled "The Ultimate Web Developer’s Christmas Wish List" (http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/12/17/the-ultimate-web-developers-christmas-wish-list/).
It goes on listing what should you buy as a present to your favorite HTML cruncher, orderly divided into sections: ergonomic chairs and keyboards, Subversion clients, coffe mugs, backup software, books, headphones and ... text editors. It lists all the best money can buy (Coda, Textmate, UltraEdit, BBEdit and so on) and ends the section with a comment that made me smile:
"Please notice: if a web-developer uses Notepad++, a robust freeware editor for Windows users, he or she will be very unlikely to switch to one of the above mentioned applications."
Right to the point, I guess. The guy knows.

yes yes, all true. however, i'm still waiting for someone to write an Ergonomic Chair (UNI) plugin. anyone?
