I am attempting to move to a black background white font kind of environment due to eye strain. I've found some "vibrant ink" preference files which have helped. Here is my problem when I leave the cursor in a piece of code text for a moment it autoselects the whole word. Nice feature. However the selection background color is a pale yellow which makes the white font impossible to set!
I've gone repeatedly through all the color settings in eclipse (general;jave; text editor;pydev) and the color settings for windows selection (which it is not) and cannot find this color setting!
I am so close being setup this is driving me a bit batty. Please help!
I am inclined to think it relates to pydev because when I open a java file I do not see this auto select feature...
THanks,
Lin

Just noticed that after the auto select happens then matching terms are also selected in the file (identical matches). Maybe this helps in identifying what mechanism is controlling this color...

Jeez louise after sending several hours on this the moment I posted I found the answer (the multiple selecting of matches gave the clue). For others it is in General->Editors->TextEditors->Annotations->Occurences(Pydev)
