    Hello,

is Eclipse 3.4 supported? It is written on pydev project page, that 3.3 is required.

After a first try with 3.4 + pydev 1.3.24 I coudn't, after installting pydev with its URL, install pydev extensions.

When does pydev extensions support 3.4 ?

    Regards
    Alexander

      Hi,

Actually, those docs are outdated... Pydev should currently support versions 3.2 through 3.4... see comments on http://pydev.blogspot.com/2008/08/pydev-1319.html

      Cheers,

      Fabio

I'm currently using Eclipse 3.4.1 (OSX version).  I tried to install PyDev via update site (both www.fabioz.com/pydev/updates and pydev.sourceforge.net/updates/).
        But kept getting this error:
        ------
Cannot complete the request.  See the details.
        Unsatisfied dependency: [org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.javahl.win32.feature.group 2.0.4.I20081001-1900] requiredCapability: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.javahl.win32/[2.0.4.I20081001-1900,2.0.4.I20081001-1900]

I'm not sure if this is pydev problem or my eclipse (eclipse-SDK-3.4.1-macosx-carbon.tar.gz).  I can't get eclipse 3.3 because it's no longer available for download.

This could be a seperate problem:
I tried easyeclipse-python-1.3.1-osx.dmg, but the debugger doesn't seems to break at my breakpoint with my django probject.  I have set pydev to point to python 2.5 on OSX 10.5.5 (no symlink).  Also, when I tried to stop the process in eclipse, it just hangs eclipse.

I have a friend with eclipse 3.3 running pydev with no problem in Ubuntu and Windows.  Could this be just a OSX only problem?

Strange, that error seems to be related to subversion (and not really pydev). You can try removing it and seeing if then you can install Pydev...

Now, as for eclipse 3.3, it's still available in the archived downloads ( http://archive.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/index.php ), so, if you're unable to get it to install, that's a 2nd option.

          Cheers,

          Fabio

            Fabioz,

You are correct.  I previously had SDK version of eclipse 3.4.1 installed, and that will fails to install pydev.

I have reinstalled the basic version of eclipse
(eclipse-java-ganymede-SR1-macosx-carbon.tar.gz), and that install pydev fine.

Not sure why the SDK version would have the problem.  But it's working now.

            Thanks.
