First, I just want to say how much I like Notepad++.
Second, I noticed that the Spell-checker plugin uses Aspell and when I went to get Aspell and the English dictionary, it looked like the page hasn't been updated since the end of 2002. I remembered that Open Office and Mozilla Firefox both switched their dictionaries to Hunspell (http://hunspell.sourceforge.net/). Hunspell is a new, free, and GPL/LGPL/MPL dictionary setup based off of MySpell. I, therefore, was wondering if Notepad++ users would be better served by Hunspell over Aspell since Hunspell is up-to-date and used by other major projects? Also is it possible to switch Notepad++'s Spell-checker from Aspell to Hunspell?

Ping :) Is something going on in this case?
Moreover, I wish that spell checker dialog is modeless (so you can scroll and edit the document while spell checking) and resumes checking from the cursor position, not from the beginning every time you stop it to correct something manually in the document.
Best regards

I've made the jump to 5.1.1 on my computer & my Thumbdrive (through PortableApps.com ) & ran into the same problem as well.
Pretty much it claims that it's not compatible with the current version & requests to delete the plug-in so the message wouldn't bother me next time.
I use the Spell-checker plug-in extensive when writing my guides for Game FAQ's & I've just added the Speech plug-in (which is working with 5.1.1) to help with grammar.
Could somebody contact me when the updated version of this plug-in is released?

I think about to change...

I updated to 5.1.1 and it tells me the spell checker doesn't work with the latest version of notepad ++.
The spell checker is important to me. Is there an updated version of it that will work somewhere, or is there a planned update?
