That makes the TAB display 8 pos, which is correct.
But the editor now also indents 8 pos, which is not desired. It should indent 4 pos.
When I tell EPIC to use 4 spaces for indenting, I can use TAB to indent, but shift left / shift right still use (real tabs) 8 pos.

For global settings =>>
Menu -> Windows -> Preferences -> General -> Editors -> Text Editors => Displayed tab width: 4 (default) change it to 8
For Perl EPIC =>>
Menu -> Windows -> Preferences -> General -> Perl Epic -> Editor => Displayed tab width: 4 (default) change it to 8
