Does anybody now is there in Notepad++ such option as "Default encoding for opening files"? It's like if You are opening UTF-8 without BOM file which doesn't contain any special chars then now by default it opens in ASCI, but with that type of option files will always be opened in UTF-8 without BOM and therefore no more need to manually change encoding every time You open the file!
Hope there is such thing?

No, not such option! I saw this one in PSpad, but not in np++. I completely got Your point and agree - in some projects I use only utf-8 and if the file doesn't consist of any of special chars then it's always necessary to change encoding after opening file, and it really annoys me, too! I believe it's not so hard to add such option, You should suggest it to developers!

Wow, don't know, don't think there is. I believe this has been asked or reported before. Try a search.
