I downloaded both files, the .zip and the binary and now I need to know how to install them on my toshiba laptop running win 32bit xp.

      Myself (who suggested the installer) usually downlowds the binary, unzips it, and manually replaces the files in the Program Files/Notepad++ directory. I've done this a few times (after the first install) with no problems.
      
      The more proper way is to download the installer.exe and run it. So, are we having trouble doing this?
