How to remove highlighting of closed tags?

        I think he means that the darkened background of the current tag is not wanted.
        Use Settings->Style configuator... to adjust highlighting

      Seems like it's related to HTML and PHP, but don't know which option exactly. Seems like I have tried all of them, but without success.

      You can remove the highlighting at Settings/Preferences/MISC/'Tags match highlighting'. I haven't found out where to change the style of highlighting. A tad too dark for my liking.
