where "dn: " is evertime the same and the rest of the line varies in length and composition. Next 3 lines are every time the same: first "changetyp: add" and then two "CR LF" or Word Wraps.

OK - thx - this is the first step --> ^.*typeyourwordhere.*$
But my problem is that I do not want to replace (replace with nothing = delete) all lines with "dn: something".
I need to delete the combination of "dn: something" with following line and two word wraps. (As I described in the first post.)
Background is to modyfiy an ldifde export for an import....
Any Ideas?

Hi
how can I find/replace lines which starts every time same but then have different nummbers oc characters?
For example:
dn: CN=8ddf6913-1c7b-4c59-a5af-b9ca3b3d2c4c,CN=Operations,CN=DomainUpdates,CN=System
changetyp: add
where "dn: " is evertime the same and the rest of the line varies in length and composition. Next 3 lines are every time the same: first "changetyp: add" and then two "CR LF" or Word Wraps.
To get a clue, read this:
"search for a string and delete whole line"

To get some more ideas, you should really try the search button in the upper right corner.
