Recently I updated to N++ 4.9.2, and every time I open/close N++, I receive a message from Defense + saying that "nsC278.tmp is trying to execute cmd.exe". I cannot create a rule for this file because every time the *.tmp is different, so Defense + always promps a warning. How can I get rid of this? Any ideas?

Yes have been using the NppExec but the problem was some bug in the "PortableApps.com" installer. Sorry if I'm not more precise. I downloaded latest version from your page, proceed to a second install and everything is just fine. Didn't knew you also have 'portable' mode. By the way, nice app!!!

Sounds to me you are running NppExec plugin, which seems to use cmd.exe for its shell. You can try to remove the plugin and see if it helps.
