I like the new feature "smart highlightning", but it is very slow when calling the search (strg f) for searching in big files because the word at the coursor has been taken to search form and also highlighted about the whole document. This takes a very long time when I want to search in big files (for example logfiles ~100MB) Is it possible to change this without deactivating smart highlightning?

Turning it off can be done through Settings->Preferences->Misc and untick Smart Highlighting.
Maybe a nice middleground *might* be to simply allow a maximum of 500 ms to do the smart highlighting (and else simply don't). Or do it in a low-priority thread in the background. Or...

It's worse!!!
Try simply selecting a word with the mouse. Smart highlighting will try to highlight them *WHILE YOU ARE SELECTING THEM*
How do I turn that damn option off!!!
