i didn't notice incremental search was already integrated in 3.5... well it's great to see it.
but: it's not possible to use F3 and CTRL+F3 to find next and previous while the cursor is in the incremental search text field. i'd love to see that :-)
and how do i use regexp in incremental search? i didn't get it.

I concur. Find next and previous should work with the latest results of incremental search. It's only natural. Find and Incremental Search are tightly coupled as tasks in every modern editor.
