I miss a certain function in N++ which was very helpful when i was using eclipse. My project is quite large and has a complicated directory structure, so it is a little difficult for me to locate and open files quickly. Eclipse has a "Go  to file" dialog, where i can input a few letters of a filename and it lists all the files which names begin like that. For example, if i enter "IN", i would receive "index.html", "index.xml", "include.php" and so on, all over my project. Is there any way to do this in N++?

You cna try the explorer plugin, using the favorites option. I think it has a filter which should do what you want

i'm afraid the Explorer plugin doesn't do what i want, or i just don't know how to make it do it. thanks for the reply anyway!

Four days of silence? Oh great, it seems that everyone is busy bitching about that stupid boycott thing rather than actually helping people in 'Help' forum. Can anyone please answer my question?
