    Hi,

As notepad++ being my daily code tool I can't live a day without, I've got an annoying problem.
Yesterday I upgraded to Vista, and decided to install a clean install of Notepad++.
I added an ftp server of a website I'm working on in the ftp plugin.
Normally (with the old install - I think cause some setting) it would have opened that file on the actual webserver.
Only it does open it in the plugin directory where it is cached! Does anyone know how I can have files i'm altering on server also being opened from the server when I press press "preview in firefox/ie"?

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe.

Afaik, the ftp plugin _never_ opened the file from the actual server. This is in fact impossible considering you have to download the file first in order to see and edit it :). What could be the case is that you had set an alternate cache location on some other location on your drive, resembling the layout of your webserver.
What oyu could try to do is make a new open in forefox/ie command, that only uses the current file name (not the path), and put a fully qualified web-address in front of it. That or, if you edit the same file(s), keep firefox/ie open and select refresh.
