2) While installing, I did not check "don't use %appdata". However, Notepad++ created its configuration files in C:\Program Files\Notepad++ anyway. (I was upgrading from 3.6, which was set to store my configuration files in %appdata. Upon starting 4.8.5 for the first time, I noticed that my saved session was gone. After investigating, I found that new config files, including session.xml, had been created in C:\Program Files\Notepad++\, leaving the old ones stranded in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Notepad++\.) Note: I re-performed the installation, making sure "don't use %appdata" was NOT checked. Same result.
3) The Plugins > Function List drop-down menu looks very broken under Windows 98 SE. http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/5801/49887420jc1.png (This was true of version 3.6 as well. Since it's still true in 4.8.5, I'm reporting it. :))

2) Remove doLocalConf.xml, sometimes it gets added accidentally (maybe via auto-update).
3) This is probbly a bug in the plugin. You can see the menu makes a column break at each separator, the author of the plugin should be able to try to fix this (although ive heard hes very busy atm).
