    Hi,

As I understand block selction can be done by using ALT Key plus the mouse.

But how about using only keyboard?
Currently, I using Shitf+Alt+Arrow keys, I can do block selection, but
whenever releasing the ALT key, the selected text changed to random
    character, why?

    Ragards.

Doesn't happen to me, but I'm still using v4.2.2.  What version do you have?

      Hi Alls,

Btw, I found cause of the problem, this due to using arrows key
on the "Num PAD" arrow keys.

Alternative solution for this is "press" the other shift key, then
      release all both shift+alt keys.

      So, is this a bugs?

It happens for me too with my older version if I use the numpad keys.  Looks like a bug to me, but I can't imagine why it would happen.  Perhaps it's just activating some shortcut I don't know about.

Just use the regular keys, then.

If you do a block selection and press the right CTRL key, the selection is replaced by ETX characters. You don't see me complaining it's a bug. It can be done by using the left CTRL key.

      My version 4.8.5 (latest).

BTW, I not used to the regular arrows keys.  I used to
borland classic key mapping, since Turbo Pascal 3.

It just that annoying to use additional key to do a block
      selection.
