    Hello,
I use npp every day and I have lot of opened files in both Views. Some time it's not easy to identify for which task this file allocated, it's will be really great to allow mark each tab by some color, it's like Flag in MS Outlook, after that I can fast find all opened files in npp by choosing files with one color of tab ... I think it's easyes way to solve.

Other way - you can implement Tabs with sub-tabs, but I think it can take lot of development time.

Or it's will be nice if npp will support "named instances", when you open npp, it ask you to set unique name to this instance, if you open one more instance - you should set another name, if you just open some file, associated with npp - it could be shown menu with choosing name of instance. It's will be really great, so I can name each instace by project name ...

    PS Sorry for my english.

OH!  And just taking a wild guess for the fun of it, did N++ *used* to have the ability to mess with previously-created macros, but somewhere along the line it was "lost" to an "improvement?"  I can't imagine that no-one has mentioned this in the years of development, so maybe it got either removed or, ta-da! Hidden!

      Thanks again.

you have the favorites option (it's the red heart) in the buttons, if you use it it will solve your problems

Thanks for writing NPP. When opening a file, would it be possible to make the openfile window stay whatever sizeit is resized to? I work in a folder with lots of subfolders that I use alot. I can resize the open dialog but it only stays that way until NPP is closed. I would greatly appreciate it.

Sorry, but can you explain where I can find "Favorites button" may be it is some plugin?

Would be great to update the syntax highlighter for Fortran. It uses the ancient Fortran-77 version now, but really there are very few ones who still use these. Updating to the Fortran-90 version would make this great editor really splendid!

      Feature request?

Sure, I have one!  Make the macro function not only work, but UNwork!  I recorded a macro for grey-* key for -BR- and then remembered it should be -BR /- (hyphen being angle-brackets) and now the *first* macro works, not the second one for that key.  I would think that:
1.) it's possible for a real person (not someone who had to come online, search around and fail to find how to delete macros, then posted this and then a day or so later found out how to do it) -- a real person being someone who ihas not yet
A.) psychicly determined the secret hiding place of macro functions
B.) spent hours trying to figure this out -- including looking in the N++ directory
C.) doesn't have an IQ over 185 and ten years experience in reverse-engineering N++
2.) If we can Create, Run a macro, we could at least
        A.) SEE the macros
B.) Delete the macros -- or is this special for registered users but
1.] if it's not available, is there a special
reason we need to have that a secret?
2.] or perhaps this is one of those cases where we
programmers are so full of ourselves we
over-engineer everything because we *can* until it's unusable?

      *grin*

And guess why I'm using Notepad++ today?  Because an idiot EXPERT posted on an Expert site a great PHP login management But All His Code Fails To Parse!!!  The only stuff that works is the amateurs' versions who spent Days FIXing it!   heheheheh  I am so unbelieving of software writing.  I bet I do this total-knuckehead stuff too, but of course I have excuses!

mwalsh7782 located over in that yaaaaaho place

Thanks for great software! I'll pay next time I have money (I don't) (honest) and it's possible to remove macros, since it now works in a way that no longer works for me!
