I suggest that only a small subset of Notepad++ users care about the Compare plugin, and for everyone else, having the Alt-S shorcut thus produces a nuisance error about the suberversion repository when they try to use the EXISTING and STANDARD Alt-S shortcut to pull down the Search menu item on the main menu toolbar.
Grrr.

Please, don't come up with suggestion. We only care for results after thorough scientific investigations.
Menu____ : Settings
Option__ : Shortcut Mapper...
Button__ : Plugin commands
Line 7__ : Compare against SVN base -> Alt+S
Double-click this line and change or remove the shortcut to your liking.
Or don't use the plugin?
Or press Alt and then press S, separately, instead Alt+S.
