just found n++ today, I love it, thanks for this great program!

    Here's my request:

Anytime I need to search through a document for all the instances of a string, I have to highlight the string, hit ctrl+f (to bring up the find dialog), escape (to close the find dialog), and then I can just keep hitting F3 to go to the next instance of the earlier highlighted string...

What would be reallly super nice, is if I could just highlight the string and hit F3 to go to the next instance of the string.

Currently F3 is not used for anything at if you hadn't opened the find dialog, so might as well put it to some use!

    Thanks a mil!
    Rusty

You may press Ctrl+F3/Ctrl+Shift+F3 to search for the currently highlighted text. If there is nothing highlighted the search will first select the current identifier at caret position. If you prefer this way of searching for your everyday needs, you may reassign shortcuts using "Settings - Shortcut Mapper...".
