I find the HEX button on the toolbar very useful. It seems to have disappeared in this version - does anyone know where it is?

  What version? In 4.8.2 it is still there on my tool bar.

  You need to install the HexEditor plugin manually.
  1. Download the plugin (https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=189927)
  2. Copy it to the folder ...\Notepad++\plugins.
  3. Restart Notepad
