1st thanks for the wonderfull editor. i live on it for my everyday job.
i am using n++ 4.8.2. this issue occurs with or without any plugins.
he is the issue. when i do a search in n++, i set the display position to top/middle and do the search. when i close the n++ and open do any search, the display position would have gone to bottom and the editor windows stays where it is i.e., it doesnt display where the search item is . but the cusror position changes. if uses up,down,left right arrows, then the screen refreshes and shows that screen.
let me know if i needt ochange any stuff.

Search settings are lost when closing Notepad++.
Did you notice also wrap mode is turned on by default, that is on startup?
I don't like that much either.
